| This is a good product. I've used it for I think 3 years now? It holds 3 rolls and then one hanging. I think it holds the currently used roll in place pretty well. I've never had it fall off unless I'm having a drunken night or whatever. Anyway, my only big complaint is that, you really do need to keep it away from the shower. If it gets wet, it will rust!! Mine is already covered in rust, which is unfortunate. I have a tiny bathroom, so water will get on it every single day. This is a great product, but I wish they used a different material. I'm going to have to replace it for something else. |

I'd previously been keeping my toilet paper in a basket, but I found it was easy for me to drop it on the floor. Then I'd have to unwrap some of the roll and throw it away lest I end up with all kinds of who-knows-what (bacteria, dirt, fungus, etc) in some very sensitive places the next time I wipe. I got this holder to keep the toilet paper off the floor. It fails in that basic task.
If you have only a roll up top, it gets top heavy and does tend to tip. This can be remedied by making sure you always have spare rolls in reserve--a good idea anyway! The biggest problem, though, is that there's barely anything keeping the roll from just sliding off of the rack entirely. If you just bump it a little, off it goes! Same problem I had before I bought it, only before I bought it I had a bit more money in my pocket. I ended up attaching a clothespin to the end so the roll hits up against it and doesn't fall off. Not very attractive, I tell ya, but much more functional.
I would recommend this for a guest bathroom that you rarely use... especially if you tend to have guests that you don't particularly like. Nothing says "I hope you get bacterial vaginosis" like a dirty roll of toilet paper. It gets 2 stars from me, for it's potential value as a subtle prank. |
