We purchased this for our 2 yr old son, works great! Perfect size and he loves puting books in and out!

Own it for about a month now. Nothing ripped. I guess they improved quality after lots of poor reviews. One star off for the depth of pocket. 10" books almost disappear in it, and the whole point of having string bookshelf is for young children to be able to see and pick books.

Easy to assemble, kids books fit in well, and because the colored portion are cloth, they "adjust" to the book size. Colorfull, but could be a little wider to hold more books. Great for a playroom, where kids books get recycled often.

This bookcase is very attractive and easy to put together. I have three issues with it, however. One is that it doesnt hold many books. Another issue is that the pockets are too deep so most of the book is covered in the shelves. The third issue is that when you load the pockets with books, the pockets strangely lean forward with the weight of the books so it doesnt sit upright.

As other reviewers have noted this is not fabric as in the description or canvas as stated on the product box. It is a nylon similar to what most tents are constructed of. The kids won't care and so long as it lasts it doesn't really bother me. I just don't know why a company would state that it is made out of a material that it isn't made out of.
Assembled in about 5 minutes and holds a nice selection of books of about 10 books which suits my purpose as I will be rotating books into my daycare playroom for the kids to look at. Quality is what I would expect for an item at this price. |
